Quality
Assurance Policy:
Quality
remains the biggest strength of SoundTranscription transcription services.
Following
are the measures taken by us for achieving the highest level of accuracy.
Standards are set in co-ordination with the guidelines given by AAMT.
-
Reports
have all essential components and all required and relevant
information.
-
Reports
are consistent both within itself and externally with the
other parts of the patient record . Discrepancies are flagged for
the dictator.
-
Reports
have the proper structure, format, content, spelling, and grammar.
-
Reports
are transcribed to accurately reflect the meaning intended by the
dictator, yet may be interpreted and edited by the transcriptionist.
-
The
patient's right to confidentiality is strictly guarded.
-
Reports
are timely in their completion and submission. Standard turnaround
time is implemented at a mutually agreeable time.
Procedure
All the documents which contain any
blanks or questions are flagged by using either redlining or comments
directly inserted into the document. This allows our transcriptionist to
extrapolate directly in a file about a question or blank. The QA (level I) then deletes the comment or redlines after the
problem has been fixed. If a blank does remain our QA
(level II) deletes it to the best of his efforts.
Each transcriptionist and quality
analysts utilizes both English and medical spellcheckers and
dictionaries. A spell check is run on each file prior to saving it.
The following items are checked during
proof-reading:
Grammar, punctuation, medical
terminology, and abbreviations spelled out where necessary in accordance
with AAMT guidelines.
If specified by the client patient
demographics are modified with the tailor-made guidelines.
